If there is a better part of the week than Fridays after work, I don't know what it is.
Totally copying my parents, Adam and I have instituted Wine and Cheese Fridays which means when we both come home from work, we pop open a bottle of wine and kick back in the living room with a little cheese and crackers and a cool glass of something smooth. Even if we both have plans that night, we have this little unwinding time to let the past week go and get mentally ready for the weekend.
This past Friday brought with it a special treat courtesy of foodandwine.com, Roasted Figs Stuffed with Goat Cheese, drizzled with warm honey. Then the leftover goat cheese I just mixed with some lemon juice, salt and fresh parsley for a divine little cracker dip.
I wish every day were Friday!
