Adam and I got into a tiff last night while food shopping because he is starting to not be into the cleanse anymore. Which is totally fine. I told him I would rather he stop doing it than make me talk him into doing it every other minute. I am not the cleanse cheerleader! But the soy burger we had tonight cheered him up and showed him that it doesn't have to be all vegetables all the time (well it IS vegetables but it tastes burger-esque). He also made a valid point that a lot of t he food we have been having is kind of blanc so it's time to step it up in the seasoning department.
I think we were both a little cranky because it's a lot of work to find things that we can eat. I really don't know how someone could be vegan, gluten and sugar free for life without having to give up having any kind of hobby. I salute them.
Anywho,
Lessons Learned:
1) Good Health on Hancock Street in Quincy is the bomb. The only place I have been able to find nutritional yeast, agave nectar and gluten free, sugar free, vegan pizza crust mix!
2)Trying my hand at vegan mac and cheese tonight. it's supposed to TASTE like cheese even though there is no actual cheese in it. I will report back tomorrow.

You're using nutritional yeast in the mac 'n' "cheese," yes? It does taste a lot like it, I used to sprinkle a little in my tofu scrambles for that cheesy flavor!
OMG! I can't wait for the review on the vegan Mac and Cheese. Mac and Cheese is like the one thing I think I'd die without but then I die a little when I actually do eat it because I get sick. If this recipe is good and actually tastes good (unlike soy cheese), then I am SO gonna try to make it myself! Woo hoo :)
Traci Anne - good to know! I haven't tried it yet...
K - I just found out I wont be making it tonight but for sure this weekend - I will let you know how it goes!
I need to go to Good Health!! Last year I started having terrible reactions. Not only hives, but tongue and lips swelling and my throat closing...resulting in numerous ER trips a week. Turns out, I suddenly developed a million and one food allergies. The worst including seafood, beef, eggs, anything with vinegar or wine in it, apples and bananas. EVERYTHING has effing eggs in it. Someone told me I should look for vegan products, but I just didn't know where to go! Thanks!!
